MAAdol drive is a collaborative campaign carried out to strengthen the implementation of the Government of Assam’s Wage Compensation Scheme, that provides wage compensation of Rs 12,000 in four instalments to pregnant women in tea garden areas of Assam so that they can better look after themselves and their unborn child without compromising the livelihood of their families. The report talks about how the MAAdol drive was conceptualised by the Health Department and Saksham team and was implemented with the support and contribution of various stakeholders involved. How the community especially the youth group came forward to create awareness about the drive among the potential beneficiaries. The innovative methods used to make the drive successful and the plan to scale it up in other blocks of Golaghat.
MAAdol Report was launched at the Maadol dissemination event chaired under the district’s Joint Director, Health Service, Golaghat, Addition Deputy Commissioner- Health, and Labour Commissioner, on 3rd December 2022 in Golaghat, Assam.
