The Aashwasan campaign, aimed at jointly addressing active case finding on presumptive TB patients and vaccine hesitancy amongst tribal communities in 100 districts across India, was inaugurated in January 2022.
Before launching the campaign, the Aashwasan team conducted training sessions for Panchayati Raj Institutions members, paramedical members, and community influencers so that they understood the context and scope of the campaign as well as prepared detailed on-ground activity plans.
Trainings followed the official campaign launch in the presence of various district officials.
Campaign teams will be visiting communities to host information sessions about COVID vaccine and address any prevailing concerns or myths weighing on their minds.
The teams will also be screening community members for presumptive TB patients and collecting their sputum samples for testing at the nearest local laboratory. Various district officials have acknowledged and appreciated the work being done by the campaign team.

It is not always easy to reach the communities due to their remote location, thus underscoring the need for campaigns like Aashwasan and strengthen the collective resolve of the team operating it.
